Hello,
My name is Valeria Rickard and I am the owner of JOVAL Airedale Kennel in the USA and breeder of Am CH Joval Leap of Faith.
I sold this dog last December on co-ownership terms to Elena Potoman of Fildale kennel in Serbia and breeder Airedales and Schnauzers.
I am not sure if everybody has heard of the unfortunate death of 3 young schnauzers belonging to Elena Potoman, which happened during the World dog show in Bratislava as the result of her leaving them in closed and locked car on a quite hot day without water or air conditioning. Tragically, these poor animals died of heat stroke. I feel so sorry for those innocent animals and I have tremendous fear for the well-being of my dog that is currently in her care. It is a very difficult image for me to get out of my mind … that of potentially my dog dying in that same manner… as this IS what would have happened if Schnauzers were to have been shown ahead of the Airedales. I am a veterinarian by profession and unfortunately have to deal with similar cases at work. Heat Stroke is a horrible way to die which results from multi organ failure. I feel horrible and regretful for entrusting my dog into her care and, this is a lesson that I have to live with for the rest of my life.
It should also be known that Elena Potaman is in VIOLATION of the terms of our sales contract whereby she purchased my dog. She has NOT paid me the full agreed to price for this dog and it's been almost a year. Instead of payment, all I get is empty promises. Based on the terms of our legal and notarized agreement, since she is in violation of the contract, by law, she MUST return the dog back to me. In her continued violation she REFUSES to return my dog as has been requested and demanded.
This posting is NOT to bother people with the problems that I have with Elena Potaman, but to WARN good and trusting people out there to be aware of her behavior which indicates a lacking of morals and ethics. Please use my story as evidence so that you do not enter into any financial agreements with her (even though she can be very persuasive and make you feel sympathy for her like I did), and, do NOT loan her money, as you will most likely NEVER see it repaid. Additionally, the facts surrounding the deaths of the schnauzers speak for themselves… and, if you are concerned about the ultimate well-being of your animals like I am, please consider their deaths before you sell her any dogs or puppies.
I DO NOT care about the money she still owes me for the dog and I DO NOT care what it will cost to get him back.
I have hired an attorney to get my dog returned safely back to me and legal action is underway.
Please learn from my mistake and be aware of this person.
